Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN COME?
The U.S. Coast Guard limits charters to 6 guests. This also allows plenty of room to be comfortable. Have a bigger group? We can accommodate with additional sessions.
WHERE DO YOU PICK UP?
We pick up at the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center. You can park at the Discovery Center and walk down to the docks. We also pick up at your house or vacation house on the lake if there is a spot to dock while we load the boat. We coordinate details when you book the reservation.
CAN WE USE OUR OWN BOAT?
Absolutely! Puts less hours on ours. Using your own boat is a great way to master towing a rider while we coach. It is also important to get used to riding your boat’s wave/wake. Our hourly fee is the same as Captain 101 – $250/hour.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We have a 72-hour cancellation policy. All trips canceled within 72-hours of the session will not receive a refund. Foul weather cancellations are at the captain’s discretion and fully refundable.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Refunds will be issued back in the original form of payment less a 3% processing fee, unless you opt for a gift card to receive full refund.
HOW DO WE PAY?
We ask for a 50% deposit to reserve the spot, then the remainder at time of session. You are welcome to pay in full at time of booking if you’d prefer. A Venmo or PayPal invoice will be sent to you once you book your session. We also accept cash, tap-to-pay, and checks.
DO WE NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER?
Yes, a link to our waiver will be sent with your invoice. All participants must complete a waiver. You can also find it HERE.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
Recommended essentials include towels, sunscreen, dry/warm layers, sunglasses, and a hat.
CAN WE BRING DRINKS?
Yes, soft coolers are recommended. Crews are welcome to bring ice and drinks in their own cooler.
DOES THE BOAT HAVE MUSIC?
Yes, the Klipsch sound system bumps and at your own Bluetooth control.
